Who couldn’t use three cords of fir, alder, and maple firewood – cut and split?
Saseenos Elementary School’s parent advisory council is offering a raffle where the only prize is a pile of firewood.
The wood, courtesy of B&M Firewood, will be cut, split and delivered for free by Sooke Disposal within the Sooke region. There is a $150 delivery fee to Langford and Jordan River.
“This amount of wood should keep homes warm all winter,” said raffle coordinator Levi Salo.
Tickets are $20 for a pack of five and available at Shoppers Drug Mart or the Sooke Fall Fair on Sept. 7 and 8.
The draw date is on Sept. 8 at the fall fair.
