Voters can cast advance ballots Oct. 11-14

Voters eager to cast their ballot in the federal general election can do so at advance polls.

Elections Canada will have advance polls set up in ridings over the Thanksgiving weekend, from Oct. 11 to 14. Ballots can be cast from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must attend their assigned polling place, which they can find on their voter information card or using the online voter information service.

Candidates for the Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke riding are Tyson Strandlund, Communist; Randall Pewarchuk, Conservative; David Merner, Green; Louis Lesosky, Independent; Philip Ney, Independent; Fidelia Godron, Independent; Jamie Hammond, Liberal; Josh Steffler, Libertarian; Randall Garrison, NDP; and Jeremy Gustafson, People’s Party.

Canada’s 26.4 million eligible voters should have received their voter information cards by now which confirm they’re on the voters’ list and outline where to cast a ballot on election day, Monday, Oct. 21.
