Terry Boyle is the guest musician at this month’s Sooke Folk Music Society coffeehouse.
Boyle is from Dublin, Ireland. He arrived in Canada in 1989 after a successful six-year stint playing music in Boston, New York, Vermont, and Austin, Tex.
With numerous TV and radio appearances in Ireland as part of a group, and a solo album of traditional Irish folk songs, he released an album of original songs in 1997.
Boyle lives on Vancouver Island and is part of the Mighty Speck Records label.
The coffee house is held Dec. 16 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 1962 Murray Rd. Doors open at 7 p.m.
