Wellness Centre proposal draws mixed reactions (News, Feb. 15)

There seems to be a simple solution to the proposed wellness centre for the property at 2008 Murray Rd. – integrate it with the new community health centre and urgent and primary care centre to be built at 6671 Wadams Way.

According to media reports, the community health centre and urgent and primary care centre will include family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, mental health and substance-use workers and other allied health providers.

Tara Munro’s envisioned centre lists several health providers that would fit the other allied health providers category.

Integrating the two centres would benefit the community, cut construction costs and leave the Sooke Lions Club property a park for the community to enjoy.
