14-case Victoria care home COVID-19 outbreak over, two new ones declared

A COVID-19 outbreak that included a total of 14 cases ended on Wednesday as two other long-term care homes in Greater Victoria had new outbreaks declared.

The outbreak at Clover Point Care home is now over. It included nine resident and five staff cases.

New local outbreaks announced Jan. 19 include those at Sunrise of Victoria and Sidney All Care long-term care homes, with each having one resident case identified at their respective sites.

The outbreaks are limited to the second floor at Sunrise of Victoria and the fourth floor at Sidney All Care.

Outbreak protocols have been implemented at the affected Victoria and Sidney care homes.
