Saanich police say they’ve solved the case of the unknown Good Samaritans but another mystery remains in the public realm.

On Oct. 12, 2022, two people turned in a wallet they had found while walking in the Blekinsop Lake Park area.

On May 24, Saanich Police Department issued a plea for the pair to speak to police after the wallet was linked to a historic file from the late 1980s.

Detectives have since spoken with the individuals and while the department is grateful they’re not sharing details.

“There is no further information to share at this time,” Const. Markus Anastasiades said in a news release.
