The court appearance for the Langford man charged in connection with the death of West Shore RCMP Const. Sarah Beckett has been pushed back again.
Kenneth Jacob Fenton, 28, is charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, flight from police causing death, driving with blood alcohol over .08 and refusing to provide a blood sample to police.
Beckett, a 32-year-old mother of two, died early April 5 after her car was struck by a pickup truck at Peatt Road and Goldstream Avenue in Langford. Beckett was a Sooke resident.
Fenton was taken into custody shortly after the crash and released the next day without being charged.
This marks the third time Fenton’s arraignment has been delayed. He will now appear in Western Communities provincial court on Jan. 26.
