The District of Sooke is seeking volunteers to serve on two new committees.
The development and land use committee will review building permits, processes, forms, policies, and land use within the district. It will engage with the development community, to locate areas of improvements, and work towards providing recommendations to council.
The program of the arts committee will make recommendations to council on art initiatives, review policies and plans, administer the arts reserve fund, and foster public relations regarding community art.
There are three positions available on the development and land use committee, and five on the program of the arts committee.
Deadline for applications is March 2 at noon.
