A proposal to build a facility that converts household waste into biofuels will be presented at the District of Sooke council meeting tonight (Jan. 24).
Calgary-based VDQ-NRG uses two technologies to convert garbage to energy. Although the company doesn’t have a plant in operation yet, it is looking at 15 properties worldwide to begin production, said James Kernaghan, vice-president of strategy for VDQ-NRG.
