Sooke man hurt in boat explosion

A Sooke man was taken to hospital with minor injuries Thursday afternoon following an explosion at the Sooke Marine docks.

A Sooke man was taken to  hospital with minor injuries Thursday afternoon following an explosion at the Sooke Marine docks.

The man was working on a boat when he accidentally ignited gas fumes, causing a small explosion, said Sooke Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Matt Barney.

WorkSafeBC is investigating the incident.
