Sooke Fire Rescue rescued a Sooke man by rope near Phillips Road after falling down a slope on Saturday.
The man, in his mid-40s, was intoxicated and wondering through the 2300 block of Phillips Rd around 1 a.m. when he lost his footing and fell down a 40-foot slope, said Sooke Fire Rescue Lt. Chris McCrea.
McCrea added the man was pulled out unscathed.
