Charles George Henry

November 23, 1937 - June 26, 2023

Charles George Henry (Chuck) was born on November 23, 1937 in Vancouver, B.C. Chuck passed away after a short illness at the age of 85 in Victoria General Hospital.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Kathy White, son-in-law, Ben Stevens, grandsons Jordan and Jarrett and cherished friend Wendy Leclerc.

Chuck attended Kitsilano High School in Vancouver and was a member of the Kitsilano Boys Band. After he graduated at 17 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, as a travelling member of the Air Force Band.

Chuck was a career musician with the Armed Forces, in addition to performing with many other musical groups in his spare time. While he was in the CAF he lived in Edmonton, Winnipeg, Victoria, and Gagetown, finally retiring in Kingston. During his time in the Air Force, he made memories by travelling the world.

After retirement, Chuck came back to B.C. and settled in Sooke.

When Chuck wasn't playing music, he spent most of his time boating, fishing and travelling. He loved to get in his car and take road trips to the Okanagan and throughout B.C. Chuck loved life and there wasn't much he complained about.

An informal Celebration of Life will be held at the Sooke Legion on Sunday, October 1st from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

He will be dearly missed by all. May he rest in peace.
