LETTER: Forget O Canada, try Poor Canada

A brand-new version of the beloved national anthem?

I must say I am not in favor of the change of words in our national anthem from “us for sons.”

The following is the version that should be adopted by Parliament.

Poor Canada

Poor Canada, our home and native land

Little patriot love with PM flaky in command

With saddened heart we watch thee slip

The weak North poor and over taxed

And stand on guard weak Canada

The Chilean Navy stands on guard for thee

Please keep the food banks open

From sea to shinning sea

O poor Canada very few stand on guard for thee
