Pacific FC signed its first international player, Victor Blasco.

The 24 year old Barcelona native started his Canadian career in 2014 playing for the Vancouver Island University (VIU) Mariners, winning both the PACWEST rookie of the year and player of the year honours.

The midfielder then signed with the Vancouver Whitecaps, playing two seasons in the USL Championship before being released in 2016 for breaching the club’s personal conduct policy. Blasco has most recently been listed on the roster for the Central City Breakers of the Vancouver Metro Soccer League (VMSL).

Fisk, 26 returns to Canada after spending last season playing for Derry City FC in the League of Ireland Premier Division. The Vancouver native is another Whitecaps youth program graduate, spending his pro career playing in the U.S., and Spain as well as Ireland. He’s represented the Canada twice at the senior level, as well as at the U-20 and U-23 levels.

18 year old Edmonton born Hernandez is the youngest Pacific FC signing to date. He joined the Whitecaps FC Residency in 2016, appearing in 26 matches for the U-16 team. He registered 19 goals with the residency squad, and also competed internationally in 2017 at the CONCACAF U-17 Championship for Canada.

“We are delighted to have secured three dynamic attacking players,” said Rob Friend, CEO of Pacific FC. “Ben Fisk brings a wealth of experience and he’s coming into the prime of his career. Jose Hernandez is one of the top young strikers in Canada, and Victor Blasco has the potential to be one of the most exciting midfielders in the league.”

The lastest signings bring Pacific FC’s roster total to 10 players.
