A Vic West team came to Sooke on Friday night and left with a 3-0 win over the Lower Island Women’s Soccer Assn. div-1 Pumas.

Tracy Forsberg has been a playing coach but the lack of ongoing guidance has been a detriment to the team.

“We rescheduled that game from the beginning of the season,” observed goalie Cass Graber. “I suspect we would have won handily at that time but we’re not gelling right now. We just don’t have consistent leadership and it’s a young team so they’re having trouble without that direction.” The Pumas are scheduled to wrap up with a road game at Victor Brodeur vs Vic West. To this point they held down seventh place in a 10-team division, with a one-point lead and a game in hand.
