Sam Duerksen

Since moving to Victoria from Winnipeg in 2020, I’ve worked in communications for non-profits and arts organizations. In Winnipeg, I worked for Red River College as a Sustainability Coordinator, enjoyed a stint up in Wasagaming with Parks Canada, and got my start in journalism with The Uniter newspaper. With a degree in Film and extended education in journalism, sociology and environmental design, I bring a passion for storytelling, social issues and the arts to my role. I love to uncover great things happening in our community and shine a light on the incredible people I get to meet through my career.
